Administration Information for Working Capital Analytics

Security: Running Working Capital Analytics

The Working Capital Analytics applications can be accessed using the Fiori Shell or directly using a URL that contains an SAP-specific parameter.

For security reasons, SAP strongly recommends that you do not save the URL for direct application access in your browser favorites. If you save the URL in the browser favorites, it can be manipulated by script or browser plug-ins, for example. Instead, create a shortcut on your desktop that you can use to start the application. For any application extension (such as the use of additional charts), ensure that both the extension and its libraries are trustworthy.

SAP HANA XS Administration Tool

Ensure that for delivery unit HCO_HBA_R_SFIN700, only the authentication method “Basic” is activated. This specific application runtime configuration can be changed using the administration tool for SAP HANA extended application services. For more information, see the SAP HANA Administration Guide at Start of the navigation path http://help.sap.com/hana_applianceInformation published on SAP site Next navigation step System Administration and Maintenance Information Next navigation step SAP HANA Administration Guides End of the navigation path.

Configuring the Fiori Tile

Both applications, Working Capital Analytics – DSO Analysis and Working Capital Analytics – DPO Analysis, require the mandatory parameter SAPClient. Therefore, SAP delivers the SAPClient as a mandatory parameter within the Target Mapping for the Analyze Days Sales Outstanding and Analyze Days Payables Outstanding Fiori tiles.

To enable a launch from a Fiori Launchpad, you must define the value of the parameter in the Fiori tile definition. To do this, go to the customizing of the Fiori tiles Analyze Days Sales Outstanding and Analyze Days Payables Outstanding and enter, for example, SAPClient=777 in the Parameters field.

The tiles are part of the SAP_SFIN_TC_A and SAP_SFIN_BC_MANAGER catalogs.

Note Note

Ensure that the hash symbol (#) of the URL has been entered correctly, for example, the field Target URL contains the entry #DaysSalesOutstanding-analyzeDSO?SAPClient=777.

End of the note.

Generate Time Data

You need to generate time data and replicate your data.

In this step, the date and time tables used by the content packages are filled with the data relevant for your system landscape. Proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP HANA Studio in the Modeler perspective, on the Quick Launch tab, select the relevant SAP HANA system and choose Generate Time Data.

  2. In the field Calendar Type, select Gregorian

  3. Enter the period for which you want to generate data. You should generate time data for all years for which data can occur in your application (for example from 1990 to 2030).

  4. Select Granularity Day.

  5. Choose the day that is the first day of the week in your company.

  6. Choose Generate.

  7. Repeat steps 1–6 for the granularities Week, Month and Year. For Month and Year, step 5 is not necessary

Result

The system populates the generated time data in the following tables, represented in schema _SYS_BI:

  • M_TIME_DIMENSION

  • M_TIME_DIMENSION_WEEK

  • M_TIME_DIMENSION_MONTH

  • M_TIME_DIMENSION_YEAR
