 Making Selections in Charts

To further focus your analysis, you can select data from charts in a variety of ways.

Selecting data serves as a filter to narrow down the results of subsequent steps. The results of any subsequent analysis step depend on the selections you have made in the preceding ones. If you change a selection, all subsequent analysis steps are instantly updated accordingly.

Note Note

If you use a NetWeaver release prior to UI add-on 1.0 SPS10 for SAP NetWeaver, note the following:

If you switch chart types within an analysis step, for example, from a pie chart to a column chart, your selections will not be displayed on the second chart type. However, your selections are retained and will be available if you switch back to the chart type where you made the selection.

End of the note.
Types of Selections:

Single Selection: Allows you to select one item from the chart by clicking directly on that item.

Multiple Selections: Allows you to select two or more items from the chart by clicking directly on those items.

Range Selection: Allows you to select multiple items from the chart by clicking, holding, and dragging a box over the data you require.

Legend Selection: Allows you to select items from the chart by clicking on the corresponding items in the legend of the chart

Note Note

To remove your selection, click Reset Selection.

No selections are possible for any charts under category Time or for any tables.
