You can configure the system to authorize limited access to a central contract for departments outside of strategic purchasing if access is required.

Note Note

You can authorize all users assigned to a role to create, change or display specific sections of a standard or confidential central contract.

Example Example

The legal department need to assess the Notes and Attachments of a contract before it can be approved for final release. You can assign a user in the legal department Display or Change access to Notes and Attachments, and No Access to other fields, such as Conditions, which guarantees the confidentiality of the purchasing conditions of the central contract.

Prerequisites

Your system administrator has assigned create or change authorization to authorization object BBP_CTR_2 or to the role to which you are assigned, as described in SAP Solution Manager under   <project name>   Configuration   SAP SRM <release>   Scenarios   Operational Contract Management   Business Processes   Developing Contracts   Assign general contract authorizations   Configuration   Assigning Authorizations  .

Activities

You assign authorizations in SAP SRM under   Strategic Purchasing   Contract Management   Contract.   In the Central Contract, open the Authorization tab page, enter a new user or select an existing user, and assign authorizations to the user as required.
