Procedure

Delegating Items from Your Own Workflow

To delegate responsibility for a particular type of workflow item from your own queue to another user, follow these steps:

  1. Choose   My Settings   Delegation  .

  2. Enable delegation of the desired item type by selecting its checkbox in the Enabled column.

  3. In the row corresponding to the desired item type, enter the name of the desired user into the field in the Delegate To column or select from the list of names.

    Note Note

    The user you select must be authorized as an approver of the specified item type.

Delegating from Someone Else's Workflow

To delegate responsibility for a particular type of workflow item from someone else's queue to another user, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to   Setup   System Administration   Internal User Accounts  .

  2. From the list, select the desired user whose workflow items you wish to delegate.

  3. On the Delegation tab, enable delegation of the desired item type by selecting its checkbox in the Enabled column.

  4. In the row corresponding to the desired item type, enter the name of the delegate into the field in the Delegate To column or select from the list of names.

    Note Note

    The user you select as delegate must be authorized as an approver of the specified item type.
