Exporting an RFx, RFx Template, RFx Line Items, or RFx Questions
As a purchaser, you can export an RFx or RFx template from SAP Sourcing to Microsoft Office Excel to create or change the RFx or RFx template offline. This is particularly useful if you need to enter many line items or questions.
The Excel workbook contains separate tabs for entering header information, line items, and questions, and for identifying the suppliers who are to bid on the RFx. It also includes value helps so that you do not have to remember, for example, the various plants or product categories, and it supports formula pricing. When you have completed the Excel workbook, you import it back to SAP Sourcing, where the RFx or RFx template is automatically updated with the new or changed data.
If the RFx or RFx template has been changed in SAP Sourcing after you exported it to Excel, a warning is displayed when you import the Excel workbook that the changes to the RFx or RFx template in SAP Sourcing may be lost if you continue with the import.
You have created an RFx or RFx template with at least the minimum data in SAP Sourcing.
