Product Categories 
Product categories represent your classification hierarchy for expenditures. They may be specific to your organization or follow a standard such as SIC, NAICS, or UN/SPSC.
Product categories are used in association with documents such as RFXs, auctions, and master agreements and with other enterprise data. Typically, the set of product categories for your enterprise is imported from the ERP system of record. You can also create and edit product categories manually.

To create a product category:
Navigate to .
On the Product Category page, choose Create.
On the Creating: Product Category page, fill in the fields with information about the product category.
Save your entries.
To edit a product category:
Navigate to .
On the Product Category page, do one of the following:
From the dropdown list, select Search Product Category by Name or Search Product Category by Code, search for the category to edit, and choose the category.
From the dropdown list, select All Product Categories or All Inactive Product Categories and choose the category to edit.
On the Displaying: Product Category page, choose Edit in the toolbar.
Edit any fields.
Save your entries.
