To provide greater flexibility in exporting RFx documents, templates, questions and line items, the export process uses Microsoft Office Excel workbook templates. All Excel workbook templates are stored as file attachment containers in SAP Sourcing and can be customized.

Each workbook template has an Overview tab with a detailed description of each field in the template.

Activities

Customizing a Workbook Template

  1. Navigate to   Setup   System Setup   User Interface   File Attachment Container   All Workbook Template Attachment Containers  .

  2. Select the desired template from the list.

  3. Download the Microsoft Excel workbook from the file attachment container.

  4. Customize the template as required, taking into account the following limitations:

    • You cannot change the document structure, such as deleting or removing existing columns or rows.

    • You can format cells using standard Excel techniques. The cell ranges in the Excel document where the collections are exported (for example, line items, delivery terms, questions) should be formatted using the hidden metadata tab. To display the metadata tab, unprotect the workbook and then unhide the metadata tab. This tab contains a table that maps exported collections to cell styles. You can format cells in Use Style columns using standard Excel techniques. The specified cell format will be used during export to present collection items.

  5. Upload the template to the file attachment container.
