Description

Pricing Structure

This field indicates how the supplier can respond to a line item. Select one of the following pricing structures:

  • Unit Price: Select this option for the supplier to enter a unit price value.

  • Unit Price Components: Specify the components for unit price. For example, in a print order for a brochure, you might specify components for four-color print, two-color print, and black only. In the RFx response, the supplier enters prices for each component.

If you specify this pricing structure, the Price Components view is created for the Line Items page.

  • Tiered Pricing: If you select this option, you must specify quantity ranges in Quantity Price Schedule field on the Line Items page. In the RFx response, the supplier enters prices for each quantity range.

For more information, see Specifying Tiered Pricing for RFx Line Items.

  • Formula Pricing: Select this option if you are using line item formulas (custom metrics) in your RFx. This option appears only if line items and formulas are enabled in the RFx document type.

Unit Price Formula

Unit Price Formula allows you to add, edit, and remove unit price formulas. It appears if you select Formula Pricing as the pricing structure.

Choose Add Formula to add a formula using the RFx Formula page. Bid unit price formulas can be edited until the RFx reaches the Open for Review phase.

Choose Validate to validate the formulas you added.

As with general formulas, you assign bid unit formulas to line item groups on the Line Item Assignment page. Unit price formula components and results are displayed in the Basic view of the Line Items page.

If you change the pricing structure, this section will no longer be displayed and any formulas you created will be deleted.

Lock Purchaser-Defined Quantity Ranges for Supplier

This is only available if you select Tiered Pricing as the Pricing Structure. Select to lock the quantity ranges you specified in Quantity Price Schedule on the Line Items page. Locking the quantity ranges prevents the supplier from altering the minimum or maximum of the quantity ranges, or adding or deleting quantity ranges. Leave deselected to allow the supplier to edit the quantity ranges.
