Revising a Contract Clause for Versioning 
When you revise a contract clause, you create a new version of the clause and preserve a previous copy for reference. The current phase of the clause determines whether it can be revised.
You must have the appropriate rights to revise or create new versions of a contract clause.
Note
You must be in display mode to revise a clause.
Choose .
On the Clause List page, choose the clause to revise.
Choose Actions and select one of the following options:

Create New Version |
Duplicates the clause you selected and assigns a new version number to the clause document. The clause phase is automatically set to draft. |
Create New Version with docx |
Creates a new version of the clause and converts clause content options from Microsoft Word 2003 format to Microsoft Word 2007 format. Assigns a new version number and sets phase of clause to draft. |
Update to docx |
Converts clause content options from Microsoft Word 2003 format to Microsoft Word 2007 format. The clause version and phase remain the same. |
The new version of the clause appears in the clause list.
Edit the new version of the clause in Microsoft Word, if necessary.
Save your changes.
