Procedure

Creating an Auction Template

Templates are predefined documents, or portions of documents, which are used to standardize document creation and minimize the work of creating a new document. Templates store information so that it can be used in multiple documents.

Using a template to create an auction incorporates the template information into the new auction.

Note Note

The tabs that appear in an auction template are determined by the template type. All tabs might not appear in every document.

End of the note.

To create an auction template:

  1. Choose   Enterprise Sourcing   Auctions   Create Auction Event Template  .

    Note Note

You can also create an auction event template by selecting Create Template on the Auction Event List page.

    End of the note.
  2. Select the type of template to create. The template description indicates whether the auction is reverse or forward and can include other settings, such as bidding and disclosure rules.

  3. On the Header page, enter the basic information and those under Settings, and add collaborators and document links.

  4. Add information as required to each of the tabs: Schedule, Information, Line Items, Bidders, Weights (to add factored-cost bidding factors for an auction with factored-cost bidding), Accounting, Exchange Rates (to select alternate currencies and exchange rates).

  5. Save your changes.
