The master agreement type determines whether you can create subagreements within a master agreement.

You usually create subagreements for services rather than for products. A subagreement enables you to analyze, audit, and measure specific purchasing for services against a contract's original strategic goals.

Like those in a master agreement, the pages and fields in a subagreement are determined by the master agreement type. These pages and fields have the same function as the corresponding pages and fields in a master agreement. For example, you fill out the fields on the Agreements Line Items page just as you would those on the Master Agreements Line Items page.

Creating and Changing Subagreements
Creating a Subagreement
  1. In a master agreement, choose the Agreements tab and do one of the following:

    • Choose Add to add a subagreement without a contract document.

    • Choose Add/Create Contract Document to launch the contract document creation wizard and create a subagreement with one contract document. Complete the fields in the wizard as needed.

  2. On the Header tab, complete the fields for basic information and those under Control Info, and add collaborators. For details, see Master Agreement Header.

  3. Choose the Schedule tab to create a schedule. For details, see Master Agreement Schedule.

  4. Choose the Supplier Info tab to select a primary contact for the supplier and add other contacts. For details, see Field help for Master Agreement Supplier Information.

  5. Choose the Line Items tab to add line items. For details, see Master Agreement Line Items.

  6. Choose the Terms tab to add a term, rebate, penalty, or additional term. For details, see Master Agreement Terms.

  7. Choose the Audits tab to add audit events. For details, see Master Agreement Audits.

  8. Choose the Performance tab to add evaluation criteria and performance metrics. For details, see Master Agreement Performance.

  9. Choose the Savings tab to add savings metrics. For details, see Master Agreement Savings.

  10. Choose the Accounting tab to add accounting information. For details, see Accounting.

  11. Save your entries.

Changing a Subagreement
  1. On the Agreements page, choose Edit for the subagreement you want to edit.

  2. Edit each tab as outlined above.

  3. Save your changes.
