Line Item Specifications in Auctions 
Line Item Specifications Page
You use the Line Item Specifications tab of Line Item Setup to add and define line item specifications. Line item specifications provide detailed information such as technical and service specifications for the line items in the auction.
You can assign specification values to individual line items on the Editing: Single Line Item page or Editing: Packaged Line Item page.
Line item specifications must belong to a group.
Auction Setup: Edit New Item Specification dialog box
You use the Edit New Item Specification dialog box to enter information for a line item specification. Line item specifications provide detailed information such as technical and service specifications for the line items in the auction.
To use this dialog box to add specification information, select Add Spec on the Line Item Specifications page.

Enter the name of the specification. This is a required field. |

Check this box if the specification is required for all line items in the auction. |

From the drop-down list, select the type of specification value. |

Enter a description for the specification. |
Options |
Choose Add to add a multiple choice option to the specification. Enter the option in the new line that appears in the Options table. The Options table appears only when you select Multiple Choice as the specification type. |
Display Field |
Select the format in which to display the specification. |
Value |
Enter or select a default value for the specification. |
Value List Source |
Select the source of the value list to use. This field appears only when you choose Select from List as the specification type. |
Field Width |
Enter the width of the specification field in pixels. This is a required field. |
Activities
Adding a Line Item Specification to a New Group
On the Line Items page, choose Line Item Setup. The Line Item Specifications tab is displayed.
Choose Add Group.
Enter a name and description for the group.
Choose Add.
Enter specification details.
Choose OK.
Save your changes.
Adding a Line Item Specification to an Existing Group
On the Line Items page, choose Line Item Setup. The Line Item Specifications tab is displayed.
Choose Add Spec.
Enter specification details, including selecting a group from the Insertion Point dropdown.
Choose OK.
Save your changes.
Changing the Default Specification Value for a Line Item
On the Line Items page, choose the Edit icon for a line item.
Under Line Item Specifications, edit default specification values as needed.
Save your changes.
