Optimizing Your Display Experience
To ensure that you can see all modules that are appropriate for your user role within your enterprise, you must set your screen resolution to a minimum of 1024 x 768.
You can increase the amount of the display screen available for content by invoking full-screen mode. Full-screen mode hides everything above the main title bar for the current page. For example, if you enter full-screen mode while viewing an RFx, everything above the RFx title bar is hidden, with the exception of the Back button and the navigation breadcrumbs.
The bulk of the hidden elements enable navigation between larger SAP Sourcing features. For example, invoking full-screen mode hides the controls that enable you to open a new RFx or navigate to a different module or document. To regain access to these controls, exit full-screen mode.
To enter full-screen mode, choose the square Full Screen button at the upper-right corner of the screen.
To exit full-screen mode, choose the Close Full Screen button at the same location.
Note
You can also toggle full-screen mode on and off by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL-Shift-F11.
You can reclaim even more screen real estate by using the features built in to your browser. For example, in Internet Explorer and Firefox you can eliminate the window title bar by pressing F11.
Your operating system (OS) must support one of the following browsers. Note that Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are compatible only with Windows OS. Apple Safari is compatible only with Mac OS.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP2, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, or Internet Explorer 10
Apple Safari
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Note
Firefox, Chrome, and Safari version updates happen frequently. We recommend that users stay up to date with the latest official releases of these browsers, and we are committed to supporting that.
If you are using a 64-bit browser, Adobe Flash v11 or higher is required.
If you are using a 64–bit Internet Explorer browser, viewing a PDF opens an extra browser window. This will not close automatically. If you want to dismiss this extra browser window, do so by hand.
You can use SAP Sourcing on an iPad, using mobile Safari. Here are some things to be aware of if you do:
iOS does not support Flash, so Flash-base reports will be displayed in a static version.
Due to limited file management capability in the current iOS release, SAP Sourcing on an iPad has limited upload functionality. Currently, only image files can be uploaded. To upload other types of files, use SAP Sourcing from a PC or Mac.
Upload of multiple files using the Attach File(s) button is not supported because iOS does not support Flash.
The iPad does not fully support Excel. Despite this iPad limitation, you can still export data to an Excel file; however, you will not be able to edit the file for re-import.
Tooltips are not supported in SAP Sourcing on an iPad.
Drag and drop functionality for reorganizing lists, channels, and workbenches is not supported in SAP Sourcing on an iPad.
The Auction Monitor (accessed within Running Auctions under the Actions menu) is not available when using an iPad.
When you use SAP Sourcing on an iPad, you can change to a different workbench page by double-tapping a workbench button. A single-tap on a workbench button opens the workbench menu.
When you are using an iPad, the ability to create and use any generated PDF documents from SAP Sourcing data is limited.
Several SAP Sourcing dialog boxes appear in popup windows. If your browser has disabled popups, these dialog boxes may not display. In some cases you might be unable to navigate properly within the UI if SAP Sourcing is waiting for dialog input from a repressed popup window.
If you are using Internet Explorer, your browser will display an alert message warning you that a popup has been blocked. Not all browsers offer such alerts, though. For example, if you are using Safari, and popups are blocked, the dialog will simply not appear.
To avoid this issue, please make sure you have configured your browser settings to allow popups.
The SAP Sourcing user interface displays optimally at 100% zoom. If you see unexpected user interface behaviors such as missing or misplaced scroll bars, please make sure your browser is set for 100% zoom.
In most cases, if you want to print a page from within the SAP Sourcing application, you will get the best results by using Internet Explorer.
Note
To print long collection lists or long table structures such as the Query Definition List page, export the table to Excel or generate a PDF file, and print the resulting output file.
You can relocate various elements of the SAP Sourcing user interface by dragging and dropping them with your mouse or with keyboard commands.
The following UI elements can be moved this way:
Workbench channels

Query result set columns
UI fields and form panes on WYSIWYG UI pages

You can move these elements with the mouse using standard drag-and-drop functionality, or you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:
