
To operate your SAP software legally and in accordance with your agreed contract, you require a license key assigned by SAP.
When you install your SAP system, a temporary license is automatically installed. You can use this temporary key to install the system for four weeks from the installation date. You need to request a permanent license key from SAP before the expiration date of the temporary license. We recommend that you do this as soon as possible after the installation (or after moving the message to another host). (See Requesting an SAP License.)
When you receive the license key from SAP, you can use transaction SLICENSE to install and manage the license (see License Administration with SLICENSE).
