Searching for Process ModelsLocate this document in the navigation structure

This procedure allows you to search for process models or processes, which you import from an external repository. The processes are then used in Process Composer to make them executable in SAP Business Process Management.

Prerequisites

You have configured a connection in Process Composer.

Procedure

  1. Open the Search Console view. Choose Start of the navigation path Window Next navigation step Show View Next navigation step Other Next navigation step Search Console Next navigation step Search Console End of the navigation path.
  2. Choose OK.
  3. In the Search For dropdown menu, choose BPMN Processes.
  4. Choose a process repository in which you want to search for BPMN Process models. Information about the repositories that are displayed in this area is taken from the Connections under Process Composer which you established in the Preferences window. At this stage, you can establish connections to other systems by choosing Manage Destinations.
  5. If you want to narrow down the results based on process definition names, then enter the search string in the Find field.
    Note
    • You can only search for processes present in the current destination.
    • You can use the wild card based search, which supports “*”. You can use a single “*”, which is leading or lagging the process name. For example, you can use *test or test*. In addition, two wild card characters are supported, which must be present only at the beginning and the end of the process name. For example, *test*.
    • If you want to find all the process models for the chosen connection/repository, then enter * in Find field or leave this field empty.
  6. Choose Search.

Results

The system displays the process models available in the repository as per the filter provided.
