Use

In some cases you may want to allow two portals to access the same AS ABAP system via Single Sign-On with logon tickets.

For each portal installation the combination of system ID and client must be unique and the subject name in the portal server certificate must be unique.

  • System ID: This is entered during installation of the AS Java on which the portal runs.
  • Client: This has a default value of 000 but can be changed. For Add-In installations, you must change it. For more information, see Specifying the AS Java Client to Use for Logon Tickets .
  • The distinguished name in the portal server certificate: This is derived from the system ID.

Once you have ensured that these combinations are unique, all you need to do is set up the SAP system to accept logon tickets from both of the portals. See Configuring SAP Systems to Accept and Verify Logon Tickets .
