Searching for Styles

To display the available styles, choose  Tools  Word Processing  Style . The Style: Request screen appears.

1. Leave the Style field blank. The Language field is set by the system to your logon language.

2. Choose the processing mode Find or choose F7.

A hit list of all styles, whose selection criterion was the field Language, is displayed in alphabetical order. The following information is contained in the hit list:

• Style name

  The assigned style name

• Description

  A short explanation of the content of the style

• Language

  The current language key

• Original language

  The language for which the style was originally created

• Status

  The current status of the style

  New	No active version
  Active	Current object is active and an operational version
  Revised	Object is being revised; there is an active and an edited version
  Translate	Current object is ready for translation

  • Development class

    Development class of the style

    Choose a style by selecting it and choosing Choose or F2, or by double-clicking on it. The initial screen appears again displaying the selected style, which you can now process.

  • You can also display more information about a style by choosing F8 ( Style Info) in the hit list.

  This takes you to a list with comprehensive information about the selected style. Development-related information is displayed as well as definitions contained in the respective style. The list is subdivided into areas.

  • Paragraphs

  You can also search for character strings and download lists.
