Converting the Page Size of a FormLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

You can convert the page format used in a form. For example, to use SAP standard forms in the U.S., you can convert the page format from DINA4 to LETTER.

To change the page format of a form, choose Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Change Page Format End of the navigation path and enter the name of the form and the required page format. Only active forms can be converted.

You can only use this function to convert between page formats that are of a similar size, such as DINA4 and LETTER.

Note

Make sure that you convert only forms you have copied into the customer name range (form names beginning with Y or Z). To activate your converted form in the SAP system, enter the name of the new form as required in the print program or in the form specifications in the SAP Customizing system.

When you choose Change Page Format:

  • The system checks whether there are window pages that do not fit on the new page size or exceed the page margins.

  • If a page window does not fit on the new paper size, the system reduces the size of the main window and moves the window so that it will fit.

The system records the results of the checks and any changes made and displays these in a list. A test mode is available. In this mode, the system records the results of the checks only and does not make any changes.

This function uses the actual dimensions of the paper to check that the page windows fit. Therefore, the page windows may extend into the non-printable areas of the page margin. After you have changed the page format, you should test print the form to check for this error and to check whether any other formatting changes have been made.
