Registering Users in the Coverage AnalyzerLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Register a user to a test group in order to have the code coverage of the user included in the test group statistics. A test group records Coverage Analyzer statistics in isolation from other activity in the system. You therefore can use the test group to view only the code coverage generated by the users in the group.

Note the following:

  • You must define a test group before you can assign users to it.

  • You can assign a user only to a single test group.

  • The Coverage Analyzer records all user activity in the standard ALL and COND test groups, even if users are included in other test groups. You do not need to register users to groups ALL or COND.

Registering Users to a Test Group

To register users to test group, start transaction SCOV, the Coverage Analyzer. Do the following:

  1. Open Start of the navigation path Coverage Administrator Next navigation step Administration Next navigation step Registration End of the navigation path and switch to Change mode.

  2. Make sure that the correct test group is selected in the Test group field. By default, the system selects the last group that you worked on.

  3. Click on Insert Row, enter the name of each user to be registered, and save your changes.

The Coverage Analyzer automatically starts recording separate statistics for the users in the test group. The group statistics will be visible only after the next run of the data collection job (Detail DIsplay) or history recording job (Global Display).

You can specify the test group in the Global Display or Detail Display in order to see the statistics.
