Configuring the Transaction ServiceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • To configure the Transaction Service properties online, you have opened the Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Infrastructure Next navigation step Java System Properties End of the navigation path function of SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

  • To configure the Transaction Service properties offline, you have opened the Config Tool.

Procedure
Note

Some of the properties can be configured offline only.

Configuring the Transaction Service Online

  1. Choose the Services tab.

  2. In the services list, select the Transaction service.

  3. Select a property in the Extended Details area. You can then perform the following tasks:

    Task

    Steps

    Viewing or hiding detailed information about the selected properties

    Choose Show Details or Hide Details , respectively.

    Specifying custom values of properties

    Choose Modify , specify a custom value in the relevant field, then choose Set .

    Restoring default values of properties

    Choose Restore to Default .

  4. Choose Save .

Configuring the Transaction Service Offline

  1. In the Config Tool, expand the cluster node of your application server.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path services Next navigation step ts End of the navigation path

  3. If necessary, choose Start of the navigation path View Next navigation step Expert Mode End of the navigation path to view the full list of properties.

  4. Specify custom values of the Transaction Service properties or restore their default values.

  5. To apply the changes, choose Start of the navigation path File Next navigation step Apply Changes End of the navigation path in the main menu.
