Import Queue Web UI - Starting an Import: TimeLocate this document in the navigation structure

The following options concerning the start time of imports exist in Import Queue Web UI. The options you have depend on which import method you have chosen (mass or single import).

  • Immediate

If you want the import to start immediately in dialog, choose this option.

  • At start time

If you want the import to start at a later time, choose this option. The import is scheduled as a background job in the target system. If you enter a date and time in the field No start after, the import is started in the time frame between Planned start and No start after. If there is no background process available in this time frame, the import will not take place.

If you want the import to be performed regularly, you can choose a period in the field Period using the value help.

Note The Period option only exists for the mass import method.
  • After event

If you want the import to start only after an event is triggered, choose this option. For more information, search for Events in Background Processing Explained in the SAP NetWeaver documentation on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com.

If you select Execute import periodically, the import is started each time the specified event is triggered. Otherwise, the import is started only when the event is triggered the first time.

Note The Execute import periodically option only exists for the mass import method.
