Using Role BuilderLocate this document in the navigation structure

The Role Builder supports you when analyzing the required RFC authorizations.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Call transaction UCONROLE.
  2. Using the selection list Use Statistics from System, select the system that you want to analyze.
  3. In the next step you can define different selection criteria, such as communication assembly, destination, client system, and RFC user.
Note If you only select one system, all selected data is displayed in the results list.
  4. Run the selection using Execute Selection (F8).

The results list shows all function modules that correspond to your selection.

In Role Builder you can execute the following activities at different levels:

On the Selection Screen Menu you can use Operations

  • to export or import statistical data about a CSV file in order to copy the data from one system to another.

  • to start the UCON setup as in the Phase Administration Tool.

  • to navigate to the Phase Administration Tool (transaction UCONPHTL).

On the Results Screen you can

  • switch between display and edit mode.

  • display more or fewer fields on the results screen.

In editing mode you can:

  • create a new Communication Assembly (CA).

  • assign the selected function modules of a certain CA or revoke this assignment.

To assign a function module to a CA or to cancel this assignment, you have to select the relevant CA in the selection list, highlight the required function module, and then choose either Assign or Remove.

New CAs are created locally under the namespace /BCMIDRF/.
Note CAs cannot be transported into other systems. They are not assigned to a Virtual Host and therefore do not have any influence over the UCON RFC runtime.
Note You need authorization object S_UCON_ADM to use this transaction. To call the transaction, you need at least display authorization. You need change authorization to create CAs and to assign/remove function modules. To display the extended results list you also need authorization for 'Extended Maintenance'.
