The Import Queue Web UI is available for importing ABAP and non-ABAP transports. Since the classical SAP GUI import queue can still be used Import Queue Web UI provides the most commonly used functions of the import queue in SAP GUI. If you require advanced functions in the import queue, you can use them in the classical SAP GUI. However, some functions only exist in Import Queue Web UI, such as the import checks.
To facilitate navigation from Import Queue Web UI to the classical SAP GUI import queue the SAP GUI pushbutton is available in the Import Queue Web UI. It allows you to call the classical SAP GUI import queue on the system to which you are logged on. The Import Queue Web UI pushbutton in the classical import queue allows you to navigate to the Import Queue Web UI.
The following use cases exist for import queues in the Import Queue Web UI:

Use Case |
Description |
Prerequisites |

Displaying and changing local import queues and performing imports locally |
You can display and change import queues of local ABAP systems and display and change import queues of all non-ABAP systems for which the local system is the communication system. If you call Import Queue Web UI locally for a system, the import queue opens in change mode. All actions can be performed for this import queue, such as performing import checks, using the Import History, and performing the actual import. |

|
Displaying remote import queues |
Remote import queues are import queues of ABAP systems that are different from the one to which you are currently logged on and import queues of non-ABAP systems whose communication system is different from the one to which you are currently logged on. If you call the import queue for a remote system, it opens in display mode on the system to which you are currently logged on. You can only display the import queue and the Import History. You cannot perform any actions. Note If you use Change Request Management or Quality Gate Management in SAP Solution Manager based on the central
CTS infrastructure, you can also display import queues of system clusters. You can use this display to view transport
collections including their transport requests in detail by displaying the content of a transport collection and displaying
the logs.
|
The system to which you are logged on has the version SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP10 or higher, or CTS plug-in (software component CTS_PLUG) 2.0 SP02 or higher installed. Note To display import queues of system clusters, the system to which you are logged on must have the version
SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP10 or higher, or it must
have CTS Plug-In 2.0 SP09 or higher installed.

Changing remote import queues and performing imports |
If you call the import queue of a remote ABAP system or of a non-ABAP system whose communication system is remote, it opens in display mode on the system to which you are currently logged on. To change the import queue and perform imports, you can switch to Execution Mode. Execution Mode calls the Import Queue Web UI locally on the remote ABAP system or communication system of the non-ABAP system where you can perform all actions that are available for local import queues. Usually, a logon screen appears that allows you to log on locally to the remote system. Then Import Queue Web UI opens locally in change mode on the other system. Changes to import queues and Imports can only be performed locally. Note If Execution Mode is not available, you can choose SAP GUI to
call the classical SAP GUI import queue. You can perform imports for remote systems there.

To call Import Queue Web UI remotely using Execution Mode, the system to which you are logged on must have the version SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP10 or higher, or it must have CTS plug-in (software component CTS_PLUG) 2.0 SP09 or higher installed. In addition, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled for the remote system:
