Viewing a Snapshot of an AS Instance
Context
Snapshots of an AS instance can be viewed with SAP MMC. You can open snapshots created on the server side as well as snapshots you downloaded and saved locally, directly in SAP MMC.
Procedure
- Choose one of two ways:
- If you want to view a snapshot created on the server side directly in SAP MMC without saving it on your local PC, you can open and view it as follows: Open the context menu of the SAP system or instance from which you want to view one or more snapshots. In the context menu, choose: All TasksOpen Snapshot.
- If you saved the snapshot on your local PC, you can view it with SAP MMC, as follows: Open the context menu of the ZIP file, and choose:
Open With 
Microsoft Management Console

- Only relevant for snapshots created on the server side that you open directly from SAP MMC: Select one or more snapshots, and confirm your selection by choosing Open.
