Creating a .csv File of Transport ObjectsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Context

If you want to create a local list that contains objects in specific transport objects, create a .csv file as follows:

Procedure

  1. Open Microsoft Excel 2010.
  2. In cell 1A, enter the program ID of the first transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: R3TR

  3. In cell 1B, enter the object of the first transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: DTEL

  4. In cell 1C, enter the object name of the first transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: SPRAS

  5. In cell 2A, enter the program ID of the second transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: R3TR

  6. In cell 2B, enter the object of the second transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: PROG

  7. In cell 2C, enter the object name of the second transport object to be included in the local list.

    For example: SAPMTRAN

  8. After you have finished entering all of the required transport objects in the file, choose Save .

    The Save As dialog box appears.

  9. Use the input help for the Save as type: field to select CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).
  10. Maintain the file name, specify where you want to save the file, and choose Start of the navigation path Save  Next navigation step  Okay  Next navigation step  Yes End of the navigation path.

Results

You have created a .csv file with which you can create a local list in transaction LXE_MASTER. The local list contains all of the translation objects that belong to the specified transport objects. The translation objects in the local list can be translated into any target language.
