Creating a News iViewLocate this document in the navigation structure

You can create a News iView, using a dedicated iView template, to run as a News tile through the SAP Fiori launchpad on Portal.

Prerequisites

You are assigned the Content Admin role.

Context

You can create an iView that accesses RSS feeds that provide news articles (article feeds).The content provided is retrieved and displayed in the iView at runtime. This iView is displayed as a tile in the SAP Fiori launchpad on Portal.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, go to Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Content Management End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Portal Catalog, in the context menu of the folder where you want to create the iView, select Start of the navigation path New iView Next navigation step iView from Template End of the navigation path.
  3. In the Template Selection step, select the News iView template, and choose Next.
  4. In the iView Properties step, define the general iView properties, and choose Next.
  5. In the Define News Settings step, define the properties specific to the News iView, and choose Next.
  6. In the Summary step, choose Finish.
