Accessing Entry Screens for Other Text TypesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Access the entry screens for object types other than short or long text object types by following the instructions given in this topic.

Context

If you want to access the entry screen for a text type other than short or long text object types, proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. In transaction SE63, choose Start of the navigation path Translation Next navigation step ABAP Objects Next navigation step Other Texts End of the navigation path. Alternatively, you can proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the Other Texts button in the application toolbar.
    2. Enter o in the command field and press Enter.
    The Object Type Selection (Object Groups) dialog box appears. All other ABAP object types are listed in this dialog box, which is organized according to object groups.
  2. Select the object type you want to translate by double-clicking it.
    For example, to access the entry screen for SAPscript forms, expand object group B5 SAPscript: Forms and Styles and select FORM Forms.
  3. Enter the technical name of the object you want to translate in the Object Name field.
  4. Select the required source and target languages.
  5. Choose Edit.
    The object opens for translation in the appropriate editor.
