Processing Updates ManuallyLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The function for processing update records manually is used to reprocess records, which for some reason did not successfully complete one of the phases in the update process.

This function can be used in most cases, and means that you do not have to delete the update records and enter the data again.

Prerequisites

The update records that have to be reprocessed are set to Error on account of an update problem that occurred earlier, or init.

Procedure

  1. Select those update requests for which you want to perform a repeat update.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Update requests Next navigation step Repeat update End of the navigation path.

Caution

Updates for records that contain an update module of type V1 update cannot be repeated cannot be updated again. This is also indicated by the No Restart Possible symbol in the info column.

Note

Note that the repeat update for a V2 module cannot be carried out before the repeat updates for V1 modules. Processing a V1 module can also trigger processing of the associated V2 modules. A V2 component is no longer displayed once it has been successfully processed.

Result

The update records have been processed correctly and no longer appear in the overview.
