
The basic data is used to identify a task. You also specify the activity that is to be executed with the task in the basic data.
You must know the object type and its method that make the function that you need available.
Basic data maintenance is carried out on the tab page Basic data and includes the following functions:
Identification of a task
Each task is identified by the object identifier T (for customer task) or TS (for standard task) and an 8-digit task number allocated automatically by the system during creation. You can make the settings required for the number assignment in Automatic Workflow Customizing.
Assignment to Application Component
If you do not save the task as a local object, you must specify a package when saving. The system completes the fields Package and Application Component from this.
Transport
As cross-client transport objects (transport object PDTS), standard tasks are always connected to the transport system.
Customer tasks are only connected to the transport system (transport object PDT) in a particular client if Automatic recording of changes is set for this client in table T000. In other clients, you can include customer tasks in a transport request manually. To do this, choose .
