Interpreting the Statistics as a TranslatorLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

The translation statistics are displayed in a tree structure, which is determined by the tree type that you selected on the initial screen of transaction SLLS. You can click on the arrows in the tree structure to expand and collapse, as necessary.

Total values are displayed at the top of the Translation Statistics – Standard Display screen. Lines refers to lines in short text objects. Each line in a short text object counts as 1, and these figures are absolutely precise. Objects refers to long text objects and forms. These figures are approximate values.

The statistics provide you with the following information for short text objects, which is always displayed in rows in which the word Lines appears:

The statistics provide you with the following information for long text objects, which is always displayed in rows in which the word Objects appears:

  • Total: The total number of objects
  • New: The number of new objects
  • Modified: The number of modified objects
  • Translated: The number of translated objects
  • With Proposal: Only short text objects are translated with the aid of the proposal pool, so the value in this column is always 0 for objects

Procedure

  • If you double-click a domain in the statistics, such as BC, a dialog box informs you that the description of domain BC is Basis.
  • If you double-click a collection in the statistics, a dialog box shows you:
    • The translation graph to which the collection is assigned
    • The combinations of original, source, and target languages defined in the translation graph
    • The translators to whom the collection is assigned
