Displaying Gateway Release Information

Procedure

You can display the release information for the gateway by choosing Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Release Information End of the navigation path .

This provides you with information on the version of the Gateway and on the release and patch level of the SAP kernel.

kernel information tells you the status of the SAP kernel. Besides kernel release and compile information, this screen provides the following information:

Information	Meaning
`update level`	If different application servers are to run with different kernel patch levels in one system, they must all have the same update level.
`patch number`	The patch level which is relevant for the Gateway component.
`source id`	The numbers after the point specify the actual kernel patch level, which you can also see if you select Release Information in the server overview ( `SM51`).
