Features

The following aspects of the Embedded Search components listed below can be monitored with alerts using transaction RZ20:

  • ABAP status of all connectors

  • TREX general heartbeat

ABAP Monitors

Enterprise Search provides the following CCMS alerts for its ABAP component:

Description

Connectors:

<back_end>~<BO_TYPE>~

Displays the configured ABAP-based connectors with their relevant statuses.

The color of a connector indicates the status. The threshold values are the default values of CCMS.

TREX Monitors

Performance

Displays the performance status of the TREX integrated in Enterprise Search.

Configuration Status

Displays the status of the services of the TREX integrated in Enterprise Search.

Start of the navigation path TREX Next navigation step TREX Log Files End of the navigation path

TREX on <Hostname> instance <Nr.>- log files\TRex: TrexDaemon_ <Hostname>.00000.000.trc

Displays the status of the log files of the TREX integrated in Enterprise Search.

Note

There are a number of additional TREX monitoring objects and attributes configured that are available for monitoring but not activated. To include them in CCMS Monitoring, you must activate them.

The monitoring functions of SAP NetWeaver apply to all areas that do not specifically belong to Enterprise Search.
