Creating Contract Connections ManuallyLocate this document in the navigation structure

The manual configuration based on contracts is useful if you do not have an integration scenario definition or if you want to modify one. However, you still have to configure connections between IBCs. To do this, you have to specify the IBC references. For asynchronous request/response patterns, you can configure two connections simultaneously. If there is only a request message or a synchronous request/response pattern, only one logical port and one binding are configured.

Prerequisites

Contract implementations exist in the design time cache. If, at design time, no contract implementations were created, you can create them directly in the design time cache. For more information, see Creating Contract Implementations in SOA Manager.

Procedure

  1. Under Contract Connections, choose Create and Manually.
  2. For each actor, specify an IBC reference and choose Next.
  3. Select the connection type.
  4. Specify a contract implementation for each actor. Optionally, specify a consumer factory (but only if the actor is a consumer).
  5. Choose Create and save the configuration.

Next Steps

If you know the correct logon data and have created it, you can assign logon data to each connection. For more information, see Creating and Assigning Logon Data in a Central System
