Portal administrators can define how to open iViews or pages launched from the home page or tile catalog.

Context

When portal users launch iViews or pages from the home page or tile catalog, where the target opens depends on the navigation settings. You can specify the navigation settings as follows:

Procedure

  1. Open the iView or page in the Properties editor.
  2. From the Show Category dropdown list, select Navigation.
  3. In the Launch in New Window property, select one of the following:
    Option Description

    Display in Portal Content Area

The target is displayed in-place inside the SAP Fiori launchpad shell.

    Display in Separate Window

The target is displayed in a new standalone browser window.

    Note

For URL iViews, the target opens without an iFrame.

Display in Separate Headerless Portal Window (quirks mode)

The target is displayed in a new portal window in a headerless framework page.

Display in Separate Headerless Portal Window (standard mode)

The target is displayed in a new portal window in a headerless Fiori framework page, optimized for HTML5 content.

  4. Optional.: In the Quick Link property, enter a meaningful name for a navigation shortcut to the iView or page.
    Note
    • Quick links are not available for News iViews.

    • You cannot define a quick link to an invisible node (Fiori framework pages do not display invisible nodes for either the home page or the tile catalog).
