Procedure documentation Setting Up Web Folders in Windows Explorer  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

You know the URL for the WebDAV server. Procedure:

       1.      Start transaction SICF.

The entry screen of a report is displayed.

       2.      Run the report without making any further entries.

In the lower part of the screen, the services are displayed.

       3.      Open the following folders: default_host -> sap -> bc -> srm -> srm_webDAV.

Under folder srm_webDAV, you can see entries that correspond the areas in Records Management .

       4.      Choose an area, open the context menu and choose Test Service.

A dialog box is displayed where you need to enter the logon data for the system in which Records Management is operated. You then see a browser window containing the URL of the service.

       5.      Copy the URL.

Procedure

Setting Up Web Folders under Windows XP / ME / 2000

...

       1.      Open Network Places and double-click on Add Network Place.

The Add Network Place Wizard starts.

       2.      Copy the URL that you found previously (see above) into the entry field. The URL is as follows: “http://<default_host>/sap/bc/srm/rcm_webdav/<area_id>”

A dialog box appears.

       3.      In this dialog box, enter your use and password for the specified SAP system.

A new folder appears in Windows Explorer. As a default setting, the name of this folder begins with the area ID.

       4.      Give the network place a meaningful name, such as "Records Management".

Setting Up Web Folders under Windows 98 / NT

...

       1.      Open My Computer and double-click on Web Folders.

       2.      Choose Add a Web Folder.

       3.      Continue as you would under Windows XP /ME /2000 from point 2.

Result

You have created a folder in Windows Explorer containing all documents that are to be found in this area in Records Management.
