Use

You can use the Parse URL function to follow the process of the given path for an ICF service. This allows you, for example, to check whether the target service specified in an alias is called up correctly via the URL.

Procedure

To follow the URL of a service or atlas, proceed as follows:

       1.      Call transaction SICF.

       2.      In the main menu, choose Process → Parse URL

       3.      Specify the required service/alias path and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Enter.

Note

The path always begins with ‘/’ (slash) and the first node below the virtual host.

Example

If, for example, the complete ICF path is /default_host/sap/bc/ping, you need to enter /sap/bc/ping as the path.

       4.      Check that the split path is correct.

Result

The individual path elements show you whether the URL path has been split correctly.
