Testing the Installation of the Virus Scan Provider 

Use

You can use this procedure to check that your configured virus scan provider is functioning correctly.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start the test application under the path /vscantest.

       2.      Specify the object to be checked, using either the test data provided or your own local file.

                            a.      Select the virus scan profile, scanner group, or the virus scan provider to be tested.

                            b.      Select an action.

If you choose Check Only, the anti-virus product that you specified scans the data for viruses and displays a result.

If you choose Check and Clean, the product also attempts to clean the data if a virus infection is diagnosed.

       3.      Start the test by choosing Execute the action.
