Use

You can use this section to manage the policy configurations for J2EE Engine applications. In addition, you can find information about managing the login modules in the authentication stacks of the J2EE Engine policy configurations.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Security Provider Service choose Runtime Policy Configurations Authentication tab.

       2.      Select the policy configuration you want to manage from the Components list.

       3.      Choose the Switch to edit mode button from the upper left-hand part of the screen.

Add a new policy configuration

Choose Add from the Components list and specify a name for the policy configuration.

Remove a policy configuration

Select the policy configuration and choose Remove.

Use a policy configuration as a template

You can use the login module stack specified for a component’s policy configuration as an authentication template for other components.

                            a.      Choose the Policy Configurations tab.

                            b.      From Components select the component to which you want to apply a template.

                            c.      Choose the Authentication tab and select a component from the Authentication template: drop-down menu.

Note

The login module stack from this component’s policy configuration is used by the initially selected component.

                            a.      Choose Add New.

                            b.      The list of available login modules for the component appears.

                            c.      Choose the desired login module from the list and choose OK.

Change the login module flag

                            a.      Select the login module from the list of available login modules. If you want to change the flag of the login module, choose its Flag field in the table.

                            b.      Choose one of the flags:

                                                  i.       OPTIONAL

                                                ii.       REQUIRED

                                               iii.       REQUISITE

                                               iv.       SUFFICIENT

Modify the login module options

Caution

We recommend that you configure login module options in the policy configurations of J2EE Engine applications only for the case when the options should apply only for the specific application, which uses the login module. For this case, you have to enter all applicable login module options.

To configure login module options to apply for all applications that use the login module, see Managing Login Modules.

                            a.      Select the login module from the list of login modules and choose Modify.

                            b.      In the dialog that appears you can:

                                                  i.       Change the position of the login module.

                                                ii.       The position of the login module shows the order in which the login module is used during authentication.

                                               iii.       Change the login module flag:

                                               iv.       In Flags choose the desired flag of the module. See above for a description of each of the flags.

                                                 v.       Specify the options for the module in Options.

                                               vi.       They are specified in key=value format. The options are separated by a space when there is more than one of them.

       2.      To apply the new settings choose OK.
