You define data for the log output of the virus scan provider with trace indicators. You can use this data to investigate any errors that occur.
You have defined at least one virus scan provider.

1. In the Visual Administrator, choose the cluster Virus Scan Provider.
2. On the Provider tab page, select the virus scan adapter or virus scan server for which you want to display the trace.
3. Set the desired indicators on the Trace tab page.
Since there are no RFC connections for the virus scan adapter, the two RFC indicators are grayed out for virus scan adapters.

4. Choose Set.
You have activated the trace output that is in the Engine trace for the virus scan provider.
For Microsoft
Windows NT, the path is
\usr\sap\<SAP system
name>\<instance name>\work\server<ID>, such as C:\usr\sap\C11\JC00\work\server0.
For UNIX, the path is /usr/sap/<SAP system name>/<instance name>/work/dev_<node name>.
