Installing the SAP Cryptographic Library on an Arbitrary Server 

Prerequisites

You have obtained the SAP Cryptographic Library installation package.

Procedure

On each server that is to use the SAP Cryptographic Library:

       1.      Copy the files contained in the installation package to the appropriate location. For the application server, see Recommended Locations of Files. For other servers, the location of the files depends on the file structure for the server.

       2.      Define the location of the SAP Cryptographic Library according to the component's convention.

       3.      Define the SECUDIR directory, which is the location used for the license ticket and the server's credentials.

Default SECUDIR

If SECUDIR is not set, then the server searches for the license ticket in the sec sub-directory of the server's home directory:

·         On UNIX:     $HOME/sec/

·         On Windows:     $HOMEDRIVE$HOMEPATH\sec\
