Since it takes a long time to display large trace files, you can also download the files to your local PC.

Procedure

Select the processes you require and choose   Process   Trace   Save File Locally  .

A dialog box appears to select the location where you want to save the files to in the file system. You can also change the name of the file (default: dev_*). Once you have entered the location choose Save. If a file of this name already exists, you are asked if you want to replace this file.

The file is stored on your local PC.

If you have selected more than one process, a dialog box appears in which you can stop the confirmation prompt appearing for the further files. If you choose Yes, all files are written to the selected directory with their default names. Any existing files with these names will be overwritten. If you choose No, the security prompt appears before each file is saved.

Result

The trace files are now on your PC and you can search and send them quickly and simply.
