Function documentation Analyzing the Runtime Cache  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

To ensure that the relevant Integration Engines have quick access to the contents of the Integration Builder at runtime, the information required is loaded into corresponding caches. Caches also contain the runtime-relevant data from the System Landscape Directory.

The Integration Directory cache is always updated:

...

·        When a change list is activated in the Integration Directory

·        A change list in the Integration Repository is updated that contains objects (mapping objects or integration processes) that are used in the Integration Directory

Features

Analyzing the Runtime Cache

There is a transaction that you can call to analyze the cache. This transaction is useful for troubleshooting and support within SAP Exchange Infrastructure.

To call the transaction, log on to the system with the Integration Engine client and choose Exchange Infrastructure: Configuration à XI Directory Cache (Transaction SXI_CACHE).

On the left of the screen, those object types whose runtime versions can be analyzed are displayed in a tree structure. To display the object key for object types whose object key comprises services or parties or both (for example, receiver determinations), expand the relevant tree node.

The traffic light icon at the top of the screen on the right displays the status of the cache.

·        Red traffic light: The cache is not up-to-date. This means that there are objects in activated Integration Directory change lists that are not yet contained in the cache.

·        Amber traffic light: The cache is currently being updated. This means that you must wait until the cache update is complete.

·        Green traffic light: The cache is up-to-date and can be analyzed.

To display more information about this object on the right-hand side of the screen, double click the object. The attributes of each object are displayed.

Note

The attributes of the configuration objects are described in the documentation for the respective object (see the description of the corresponding object in Configuration).
