The test plan consistency is an automatic filter for messages. It compares the message status with the tester results (test case status) and identifies inconsistencies.

You can use the test plan consistency for the Functional Correctness test standard: Messages with priority Very High and High must be completed by the end of the test.

Activities

  1. Create a profile in the Central Test Workbench Settings (transaction STWB_SET).

  2. Create a filter in the Central Test Workbench Settings (transaction STWB_SET):

    1. Choose   Test Plan Consistency   Change  .

    2. Assign the message priorities and statuses, by which you want to filter your test plan, to the profile which you created under item 1.

      Note Note

      • Create a filter for the status OK (green traffic light), to find test cases for which the status has been incorrectly set to OK. All test cases with open messages and status OK in the test plan must be checked.

      • To find test cases for which errors have been resolved, create a filter for the status error (red traffic light). All test cases with status Error, whose messages are closed, must be retested.

      End of the note.
  3. Assign your profile to your test plan:

    1. Choose your test plan in the Test Plan Management (transaction STWB_2 ) initial screen, and   Goto   Attributes   Change  .

    2. Choose your profile in the Standards tab.

  4. Check the test plan consistency:

    1. Choose your test plan in the Test Plan Management (transaction STWB_2 ) initial screen.

    2. Choose Test Plan Consistency.

Example

You have created a filter, which should only display messages with status New, priority High and Medium.

When you check the test plan consistenz, the system only shows the messages which satisfy the specified filter. You see only messages with status New, priority High and Medium, but not with status New and Priority Low.
