Purpose

The Installing Business Package IT process enables you to import existing industry-specific business packages and to use the collaboration knowledge that they contain. Business packages provide you with an end-to-end solution for cross-company business relationships, and are based on industry standards.

Prerequisites

To use this process, you must first configure the system landscape for your integration scenario. You also require a corresponding business package, which you can import from SAP Service Marketplace into your Integration Repository.

Process Flow

The following process applies to the usage type PI:

       1.      Import business package into the Integration Repository

You import the required business package into the Integration Repository.

       2.      Check software components

You then check whether the corresponding software components were created.

       3.      Activate change lists

Finally, if you want to make changes to these software components, you must then activate the change lists.

Result

You have imported the required business package, checked the software components, and activated the change lists. The integration scenario is now in your Integration Repository.
