Creating an Object Management Record in a Change Request (ECR)

·        In an ECR maintenance function, go to the Object Overview you require (for example, material BOMs).

Choose the New Entries pushbutton and enter the key data and a descriptive text for the change object.

·        You can select a change object by using the product structure. The system automatically creates an object management record for the object.

Generating an Object Management Record in a Change Order (ECO)

When you create an object with reference to an ECR or ECO, you can have the system generate an object management record. The prerequisite for this is that you have already converted the ECR to an ECO.

The system makes checks in the same way as for the change master record. For this reason, you can set the following indicators for a selected object type (such as material) for generating object management records in the ECR or ECO:

·        Object management record generated (MgtRec)

·        Automatic generation with dialog box (GenDial)

If you set this indicator, a dialog box appears when you create an object. Here, you enter the following data: Description for the change and a change type. The system transfers this data to the object management record.

Note

Object management records can only be generated when you create an object. For this reason, the Mgmt record generated automatically only for new objects (Gen new) indicator is inactive.
