As part of the Application Server ABAP, Embedded Search is the underlying search technology for the applications in SAP Business Suite, for example SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP PLM, and SAP SRM. Embedded Search allows each application in SAP Business Suite to search through all its structured data (business objects) in a uniform way.

SAP Business Suite applications provide their own search object connector templates, which you can use to create connections to the searchable business objects.

Procedure

Developing Search Object Connector Templates

If the search object connector templates provided do not meet all your requirements, you can use the template modeler delivered with Embedded Search to develop your own search object connector templates.

Creating a Search Object Connector

Once you have created or changed a template for a search object connector in the template modeler, you can create a search object connector. You can use this to make the business objects available through the search.
