Process documentation Configuring the SAP NetWeaver Administrator  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

Use the Configuration Wizard plug-in available in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator to perform the configuration steps required to configure the SLD and the SAP NetWeaver Administrator quickly and easily. With this method, the system requests the required specifications from you step-by-step, and then automatically performs the configuration steps. A particular advantage of this method is that you can perform all configuration steps in one central location.

The configuration of the SAP NetWeaver Administrator is performed in multiple tasks. To execute any one of these tasks, you first need to switch to the corresponding area of the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

To execute a template in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator, you must have activated Local System Administration in the System Landscape Selection.

Prerequisites

Monitored ABAP systems must be entered in transaction RZ21. For more information, see Entering Monitored ABAP Systems in CEN.

A CCMSPING availability agent must be installed and registered with CEN. For more information, see Installing Availability Agent CCMSPING.

Monitored Java systems must be registered with CEN using the CCMS agent SAPCCMSR. For more information, see Installing an Agent on a Java Instance (Java Standalone System).

It is also recommended that you register the monitored ABAP instances with CEN using the CCMS agent SAPCCM4X. For more information, see Registering a CCMS Agent SAPCCM4X.

You have activated the integrated Internet Transaction Server in the ABAP stack of CEN. This means that you can start analysis methods in the monitored ABAP systems from the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

Process Flow

...

       1.      Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator using the following URL: http://<host>:<port>/nwa, where <host> and <port> are the values of the AS Java of CEN.

       2.      Log on as an AS Java administrator.

       3.      In the top-level navigation, choose Deploy and Change Configuration Wizard.

       4.      In the Configuration Tasks  input area, choose All Configuration Tasks entry from the Show Configuration View dropdown box, and enter NWA in the filter field of the tasks list. The following tasks are available to you to configure the SAP NetWeaver Administrator:

Name of the Task

Description

1. NWA_01_This wizard will execute configuration for local SLD.

Configuring and Activating the Administrative SLD

2. NWA_02_SLD system: Connect SLD to CEN (if CEN present)

7.NWA_07_creates Destination for Data Supplier Bridge.

Connecting a Monitored Java System to the Administrative SLD

       5.      Execute the tasks in the order specified by the numbering above.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

The same data (for example, access data for the administrative SLD) is sometimes required in different tasks. In this case, the input fields already contain the corresponding input values from the previous task. To start the task execution, select the relevant task, and choose Start.

When you execute a task, you can switch between the steps using Previous and Next. The progress bar of the task and the Details area show the current process state.

If you want to execute a task more than once in succession, after the task execution has finished successfully, choose Retry in the upper left-hand Configuration Tasks area.

       6.      Optional: If you want to use connection over HTTPS between SAP NetWeaver Administrator of CEN and the managed system, you have to configure the transport layer security correctly:

If the HTTPS is with a server authentication, configure the use of SSL on the managed system.

If the HTTPS is with a mutual authentication, configure the use of SSL on both the CEN and the managed system.
