       Activation

When you activate the business process monitoring, the system creates the required CCMS nodes in your satellite system, in the CCMS Monitoring Collection (transaction RZ20).

       Deactivation

When you deactivate the business monitoring, the system deletes the CCMS node in your satellite system, in the CCMS Monitoring Collection (transaction RZ20), so that no more data can be collected.

       Deactivation and Activation

If you change the customizing for the business process monitoring, in the Business Process SETUP session, you must generate the new customizing. You must first deactivate the old monitoring and then activate the new monitoring with the new customizing, in the Business Process MONITORING session.

The system deletes all current and aggregated alert data and the business monitoring process graphic shows no more alert information. The system only starts to collect data again when the data collector is active again.

No business process monitoring data is passed to the Service Level Reporting. You should wait for the last Service Level report before you deactivate the business process monitoring and activate new customizing.

       3.      Check the log for warnings and errors.
