Use

You select objects on the DS planning board:

·        Before you perform scheduling functions on them (before rescheduling operations or orders, for example)

·        To highlight objects

Prerequisites

Under Settings → Select in the DS planning board profile or on the DS planning board, you have specified:

·        Which objects can be selected on the DS planning board (for example, only objects in the diagram section, or all objects)

·        How the selection is represented (using colors or borders)

Note

You can save these settings directly in the current planning board profile. To do so, select Settings → Save Settings in Planning Board Profile.

You specify the selection color in the planning board profile.

Procedure

The following table shows how you select and deselect objects:

An activity, an operation, a table row

Click on the object.

An activity group, operation group, order group

Click on the objects while pressing the SHIFT key, or press the left mouse button and draw a frame around the objects.

Several table rows

Click on the objects while pressing the CTRL key.

Select block

Select the first row and then select the last row while pressing the SHIFT key.

All objects

Choose Edit → Select, and then the desired selection function.

All objects in the chart in which the cursor is positioned

All graphical objects for the selected table rows

All table rows for the selected graphical objects

Objects highlighted in color

All operations and orders belonging to the selected operation or order

All operations and orders belonging to the same block as the selected operation or order

All operations or orders belonging to the same campaign as the selected operation or order

Operations, orders, or campaigns that are linked by time relationships or pegging relationships (networked objects)

Choose Edit → Select → More, and then the desired selection function.

How to undo the selection

An activity, an operation, a table row

Press the SHIFT key and click on the object.

All objects

Choose Edit → Select → Deselect All or click on a free area on the DS planning board.
