Procedure documentation Managing Multiple Versions of a Model  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can maintain more than one version of a model by using the Model    Save New Version option. This enables you to make changes to an open model and save both versions, before and after the changes. Subsequently, you can recall other versions of an open model using the Model    Manage Model Versions option.

Procedure

To create a new model version:

...

       1.      With the original model open in Storyboard, choose Model    Save New Version. The Save New Version dialog box is displayed.

       2.      In the Description field, type text that describes the changes made to the model when it was opened. This helps you subsequently recall the differences of each version.

When you open the Model Browser (Model    Manage Models), a number is displayed after the model in parentheses, indicating the number of versions that have been saved of the model. When you open the model, the latest version (highest number) is displayed.

To revert to a previous version of a model:

...

       1.      Open the model.

       2.      Choose Model    Manage Model Versions. The Select Model Version dialog box is displayed, listing each version of the model, along with its description, its creation date and the user who created it.

       3.      Choose the version to which you want to revert by selecting the checkbox in the row of that version.

       4.      Click Revert. The open version is closed and the selected version is opened in Storyboard, becoming the most recent model version.
